From: Loris on 23 Feb 2010 12:12 I'm using Office 2007 and Windows 7 OS and whenever I try to insert a chart into a PowerPoint slide, I get the following message: "To insert a chart, you must first close any open dialog boxes or cancel editing mode in Microsoft Excel." After clicking "OK", I get the following: "Some chart types cannot be combined with other chart types. Select a different chart type." However, I don't have Excel open at the time and I'm simply trying to insert a simple 2D column chart. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how I can fix it?
From: vttotal on 23 Feb 2010 14:43 Hi Loris, That is weird that you are getting that message... To make your problem clearer I want to know where are you gathering data from to create your chart. The best thing to do if you continue to have those problems is to create your graph in excel and pasting it on your powerpoint slide(AND is that is still giving you problems just screen capture and go to paint and select the graph picture and cut and past it as an image file onto your powerpoint). Hope this information helps, Vicente Tulliano "Loris" wrote: > I'm using Office 2007 and Windows 7 OS and whenever I try to insert a chart > into a PowerPoint slide, I get the following message: "To insert a chart, you > must first close any open dialog boxes or cancel editing mode in Microsoft > Excel."
