I've never known you to be wrong before, John, but I've been running
Quicken since ????? and I KNOW for a fact that with earlier versions
I could ALWAYS match a transaction because Quicken displayed the
entire register. This problem only began with Q2009.

It occurs to me that time also coincides with my shifting my account to
a different brokerage, I'm wondering if that could that explain it?

I don't know if that's worth a try or not, it's pretty easy to pick up
the duplicates when reconciling and deleting them then. I also can
almost always recognize a duplicate and it's easy, after accepting them
all, to go to the date(s) and delete duplicates.

But none of the above is as easy as displaying the entire register...
