From: ISDPCMAN on 26 Apr 2010 19:03 We have a TS running on Windows Server 2003. I have configured the RDP client on the TS Configuration to allow remote printing for client connections. Yet when I connect with an XP RDP client none of the printers are brought to the terminal server for them to print with. I have checked GP settings (and manually set that to allow remote printing) I made sure the RDP client has remote printing enabled. I'm at a loss why we can't print. Any suggestions? What am I missing for setting up remote printing? These users are trying to print on their HP Laserjet 2200 printer.
From: Kudrat Sapaev on 27 Apr 2010 12:23 Hi, On the Terminal Server install drivers of the printer used (redirected) by users. For example if the client is using HP 4000, you need to install driver for HP 4000 on the Terminal Server.

Also make sure that the drivers you do install are designed to be used with Server 2003. Bad printer drivers can lead to server instability.
From: ISDPCMAN on 30 Apr 2010 21:43 I had installed drivers for the printers they were using (both were HP printers) but that didn't help. I ended up upgrading the RDP client from XP's native 5.2 to version 6.1 and that immediately fixed the problem! Once the user logged in with the new RDP client all of their printers showed up on the TS session.
