I don't have trouble with Help in any other application. What's my next step to pinpoint this? I would think that if it is the HELP service, it wouldn't work for anything. Thanks, jo

From: jslcr1 on 6 Jul 2010 17:51 Help File not showing up If this is the case where when you try to open the Help file in Quicken and you get an empty box or something like an HTML error try to make IE the default browser. Close Quicken - open IE - Tool - Internet Options - Programs - click where it says "Make Default" Reopen Quicken and see if this fixes this problem. Had the same issue with the Help file and this is what fixed it on my computer. Also find quicken.lif and check to see if it is a Read Only, if it checked as such unselect "Read only". You can also try to uninstall Answerworks through the Add/Remove and then reinstall it. You can find the exe file for it under C:\Program Files\Quicken \AnswerWorks (Windows XP) Make sure Quicken is not running when you do this.

IE has always been the default browser and the message I get is as posted in the start of the thread. No empty box, no HTMl error, just "Can't start Windows Help",

What kind of product info help displays when you open that QUI help file ? Anything else in that sub-dir ?
