From: sgopus on 17 Mar 2010 22:15 as your MODEM has nothing plugged into it, your not going to connect using it. You can only connect with your NIC card, since that is the only thing plugged into the phone line, have you talked with your ISP to get your configuration to connect to the internet? Sometimes you have to manually configure things before it will actually make the connection, you never answered if you have a always on connection to the internet, who is your provider? get the numbers for configuration from them. ie your Ip Address Subnet mask Default Gateway Preferred DNS server Alternate DNS server get those numbers and post back, do not post them here, just let us know if you have them.
