From: Paul Allison on
CATEGORICAL DATA ANALYSIS USING SAS
A SHORT COURSE TAUGHT BY PAUL D. ALLISON

On July 12-16 in Philadelphia, I will teach my 5-day course on
Categorical Data Analysis.

This seminar covers material equivalent to a full semester's work and
includes such topics as binary logistic regression, probit regression,
ordered logistic regression, multinomial logit, GEE estimation,
multilevel logistic regression, Poisson and negative binomial
regression, loglinear models, discrete choice models and methods for
longitudinal data.

The course makes use of several SAS procedures, including LOGISTIC,
GENMOD, SURVEYLOGISTIC and GLIMMIX. There will be computers on site
for supervised hands-on assignments and independent practice.

The course will be held at Temple University Center City, which is
located just across from the Philadelphia City Hall. The fee of $1495
includes all course materials. A block of rooms at a reduced rate has
been reserved at the Club Quarters Hotel, a 5-minute walk from the
course location.

PS: Here's what two of last year's participants had to say about the
course:

“This is very useful for any data analyst. Dr. Allison made this
statistics course very interesting and explained things with practical
examples. My apprehension about a 5-day statistics course was proved
wrong, as this was very enjoyable.”

Suneel Guda, Schering-Plough

“I gained a deeper understanding of categorical data analysis, its
theoretical development and its practical application. This course is
excellent and highly recommended to anyone who wants to feel confident
in categorical data analysis. Professor Allison offers a balanced
approach to teaching both basic and cutting-edge knowledge.”
