Hello,

I'm running IIS on my company's Windows 2003 Server and allowing people to
access a website on that Server by making them type http://<Servername>. How
ever I want them to access the website by some other name like
http://<acoolsite>, but I don't want to rename the Server name. How can I
get around it?
Thanks

William

Just put "acoolsite" in your local DNS.

Then add "acoolsite" to the host-headers configured in the site.

Thanks for the reply. Could you please point me to an article of how to add
this to my local DNS, or point me to an article.
