Dear reader ;)

To check if someone calls my function correctly I want to build in a check to see the following.

A user has to run start() to start a script, this function is a sort of portal to a nonGui and a Gui version named goGUI() and goNonGUI(). However I don't want users to start the go(Non)GUI functions because of some required information produced in the portal. How could I check if go(Non)GUI is called from start() without using something like goGUI('start',varargin), because that one is easily overwritten by a user.
