Hello

I have a continuous system G which I have converted to discrete time using the c2d method, zero order hold and sample time of 60 secs. This new system is Gz. My question is that now I want to simulate Gz with a controller in simulink and I was wondering if I need to set the simulink sample time to 60 secs also or does it not matter? I tried the simulation without setting a sample time and I got a seemingly good result whereas with the 60 sec time the result seems a bit odd but conceptually should I not match the sample time in simulation to that used in converting G to Gz? Or is there no real correspondence to these sample times?

Any assistance on this would be most useful. Thanks for your time.
