From: Pseto on 9 Sep 2006 08:52 I have an IPT network consisting of 2811 with CCME 4 - IOS ver. 12.4(9)T and 7961 and 7911 phones. Making or receiving calls internally between phones works and sounds good, but I have problems with calls established using dial-peers. These calls are noisy so much that you barely hear a person at the other end of the line, but this problem is pertinent only to calls involving 7911 phones. Calls with 7961 have good quality sound even for calls trough dial-peer. Is this some kind of codec problem or what? From: jw on 9 Sep 2006 23:40 Why are you using clear channel? Are these problem calls at 711? From: Pseto on 10 Sep 2006 17:28 cisco-clear-channel is configured by carrier stuff. I think these calls are using 711 since it's fast Ethernet connection from CCME router and carrier, so I suppose 711 is the negotiated codec. How can I determine which codec my call is currently using? B.R.
