From: Celcar on 1 Sep 2009 07:38 Hi, After re-adding a terminal server (win3kr2) to a domain after the domain controller (win3kSBSR2Std) had to be rebuilt, Client Drive redirection no longer works. Users cannot access local drives through the TS session. This used to work fine before the DC was rebuilt. If users are members of the administrators group or domain admins group they can access their client drives! No group policys has been applied on the terminal server of the DC. Can anyone provide any help please?
From: Geanina[MSFT] on 5 Sep 2009 01:19 Hi! Are the admins connection to a regular session or with /console (as this is win2k3)? If there is a setting at server or domain level, then it will apply to all sessions, except of teh console session. Thanks, Geanina "Celcar" wrote: > Hi, > After re-adding a terminal server (win3kr2) to a domain after the domain > controller (win3kSBSR2Std) had to be rebuilt, Client Drive redirection no > longer works. From: Celcar on 5 Sep 2009 22:06 Hi, The admins and user connections are using the mstsc without the /console switch. Where would the setting be on the DC (SBS server) or teminal server? Thanks Celcar "Geanina[MSFT]" wrote: > Hi! > > Are the admins connection to a regular session or with /console (as this is > win2k3)? > > If there is a setting at server or domain level, then it will apply to all > sessions, except of teh console session. > > Thanks, > Geanina > > "Celcar" wrote: > > > Hi, > > After re-adding a terminal server (win3kr2) to a domain after the domain > > controller (win3kSBSR2Std) had to be rebuilt, Client Drive redirection no > > longer works. Hi! The setting for client drive redirection are in tscc.msc\Client Settings dialog and/or GP (gpedit.msc\Computer Config\Admin Templates\TerminalServices\Client\Server data redirection). But the settings will apply to any user, regardless of being meber of admins group or not. Can you check the time on both the TS server and the DC? Sometimes if they are not the same, the server cannot sync up with the DC and then the settings are not going to be updated.
