hi,

I am working on a plot where i have a contour plot for which i have to place a colorbar for reference of the color levels in the contour.

The colorbar should contain a
- values & labels scale of 0 : 2.5 : 100 (%)
- colormap should be jet (256)

my requirement is like ... for different graph values the colorbar should remain the same.... always showin the same color order n a full scale of 0-100

for eg: if the graphs min max change to 20-80 respectively.... the color corresponding to 20 (tht in the colorbar) should reflect on to the contour & same goes for 80...

but this is nt happening... the colorbar changes according to the min max values of the contour map... :(...

can ne1 help me on this ? actually it is quite urgent ...

try using caxis.
caxis([minval maxval])
where minval and maxval are the minimum and maximum values of the scalar that is plotted.
