From: koolkat on 10 May 2010 17:03 Is there a column that can have a drop down menu that you customize, preferably one that is linked between Resource View and Gantt View? Similar to the Resource Name Drop Down? I want to give each Resource a Type Attribute aside from the Resource Group Column.
From: JulieS on 10 May 2010 17:49 Hi Koolkat, No, sorry. The custom fields (Text1, Number1, etc.) are either task fields or resource fields. The Resource Name (Name), resource group (Group) and the Resource Phonetics fields are the 3 fields which can show the same data in both the task side and the resource side. Unfortunately, none of them are customizable. You might find the Resource Phonetics (Phonetics on the resource side) works to show the same data -- but you'll need to manually enter the data. I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along. From: Andrew Lavinsky on 10 May 2010 17:51 There're only a couple of fields that are shared between the Resource and Task Views. You've identified the Resource Group, but you can also repurpose Resource Initials and I believe Resource Phonetics - which is rarely used in most organizations. There is no way to make them tied to a lookup table - although I recall seeing a macro around someplace that would accomplish that.
