From: googlenospam on 27 Jul 2010 10:52 Need to replace the KB on one of these. Got it lifting and disconnected two ribbon cables but something is holding the KB really firm in the bottom left corner, under the ASZX keys or thereabouts. Does anyone have an idea what this is, I don't want to use too much force........

Look on the bottom and look for the letter "K" nearby one of the screws. As many laptops have one screw holding down the keyboard in this fashion. Sometimes it might be under one the the trap doors as well. -- Bill Asus EEE PC 702G4 ~ 2GB RAM ~ 16GB-SDHC Xandros Linux (build 2007-10-19 13:03)

The laptop KBs Ive seen B4 just fall > out.............. Yup, a lot of them today use screws now. Luckily they usually put a "K" next to one of them so you know which screw needs to be removed. :) -- Bill Gateway MX6124 ('06 era) 1 of 3 - Windows XP SP2 |
