From: mike on 8 Feb 2010 20:43 I just built a couple reports and setup the Report Server on a 3rd party host The application that collects the data is public but the reports are for a single internal user only. I have added the report to the RS and I can execute it (I'm admin) without a problem. I'm trying to setup a specific login to the machine/RS so this one user can run the reports I've created a new user on the 3rd party Windows 2003 Server Then went into the Report Manager, clicked Edit for the 1st report, then Security, then New Role Assignment I typed in the user name (I tried it with and without the domain/ machine name) and selected their roles as Browser. When I hit the report server or the report manager from the outside and am prompted for a login I type in the credentials for the new user. I get in but in Report Manager I don't see the report and if I log into the reports I get the following message "The permissions granted to user 'domain\user' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied)" How do I give permission to just a couple reports to 1 user and not allow anyone else access? thanks mike
