I don't use the keychain for anything like that. The user name/password
combo I used was unquestionably correct - I type it in rather a lot,
y'know...

I had a similar problem the other day. haven't found the exact cause but it
was partly due to trying to screenshare with the wrong/username and
password.
But at the time my internet wasn;t working and the router betweent he
compters also seemd slow and 'playing up' I don;t see why screensharing
should be affected by the 'outside world' but it could have been that I use
static IP adresses on my 3 macs.
Because when the internet came back (faulty unit I assume) I had a simialr
problem until I use automatic DHCP and ebeything was fine again.
I plan to re-enact my problem at a later date to see if I can simulate it.
