I don't use the keychain for anything like that. The user name/password combo I used was unquestionably correct - I type it in rather a lot, y'know... <shrug> Rowland. -- Remove the animal for email address: rowland.mcdonnell(a)dog.physics.org Sorry - the spam got to me http://www.mag-uk.org http://www.bmf.co.uk UK biker? I had a similar problem the other day. haven't found the exact cause but it was partly due to trying to screenshare with the wrong/username and password. But at the time my internet wasn;t working and the router betweent he compters also seemd slow and 'playing up' I don;t see why screensharing should be affected by the 'outside world' but it could have been that I use static IP adresses on my 3 macs. Because when the internet came back (faulty unit I assume) I had a simialr problem until I use automatic DHCP and ebeything was fine again. I plan to re-enact my problem at a later date to see if I can simulate it. > > Cheers, > Rowland. > > [1] Which is annoying: the iMac upstairs keeps the music on its huge > HDD, and I was wanting to play that music downstairs on the proper > stereo via the MacBook.
