From: Hans L on 9 Feb 2010 12:33 I use Word 2000. I have a Toolbar.dot that starts up when Word starts. When I start Word, the Control Toolbox toolbar is not shown or checked. However, when I open a particular file, the Control Toolbox toolbar is shown, and although I uncheck it, it shows up next time I open the file in question. I do not know where to go to make sure the toolbar does not show up anymore. Grateful for help. Regards, Hans L
From: Stefan Blom on 9 Feb 2010 13:40 This is a sign that the document in question contains ActiveX controls and therefore opens in Design mode. If the document is meant to be a form, it would be better to make use of form fields only. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Hans L" <HansL(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:985FBDAC-76FC-4A19-9B61-C7EAF094F82A(a)microsoft.com... >I use Word 2000.
