These allow us to convert from WGS84 (i.e. GPS datum) to a wide range of other geodetic datums such as NZ Map Grid (eastings and northings). These geodetic datums are highly country-specific, so what is used in your country will be completely different to what is used in mine. You need to find the appropriate conversion for your country.
