Office Button | Prepare | Properties

Then click the downarrow next to "Document Properties" in the yellow
bar that appears above your slide and choose Advanced Properties.

On the Statistics tab of the resulting Properties dialog box, you'll
see a count of words, slides, paragraphs etc.
