Hi,

Writing up my thesis, and having some issues with about 5% of my cross
references. i have 2 issues.

1. crossreferencing is inserting the actual picture/figure after the cross
reference after a field update (deleting them just causes them to come back
without an update field)
2. some cross refs are inserted fine, but then after an update field, they
start on a new line

it's only probably about 5% of the cross refs doing this. And i can't seem
to work out how to stop it, and deleting the images or the extra returns
doesnt help as as soon as the computer does an autosave it seem to change it
right back again without an update field. deleting the captions and cross
references and redoing them doesnt help either

please help me

thanks

Make sure that your captions are in their own paragraphs or in their own
containers (text box, frame or table cell).
