From: Peter James on 5 Apr 2010 05:03 I'm interested in getting Crossover to run on my new Intel iMac running OS X 10.6.3 with a 3.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Can anyone on this NG with a similar set up advise how effective this software is? Many thanks, Peter -- He spoke with a certain what-is-it in his voice, and I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled. P.G. Wodehouse 1881 -1975
From: Juan I. Cahis on 5 Apr 2010 10:17 It works marvelous as it is advised. It has two advantages regarding other products: it doesn't force you to buy a Windows License, and it doesn't create a separate file system, so if you are somewhat short of disk capacity (as if you have a MacBook Air, for example), you will not waste it. The disadvantage regarding other products like VMWare or similars, is that not all Ms-Windows programs work under it, but most of them (and the most important of them) work and it is very fast. pfjames2000(a)googlemail.com (Peter James) wrote: >I'm interested in getting Crossover to run on my new Intel iMac >running OS X 10.6.3 with a 3.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. >Can anyone on this NG with a similar set up advise how effective this >software is? >Many thanks, > >Peter Thanks Juan I.
