This just means that the Winders server doesn't understand chmod which
is a Unix comman. I don't know how to change permissions on Winders,
except, your files are uploaded and behave (remotely) in the way want
them to, right? So maybe it doesn't matter.

Have you looked at Cyberduck's manual? Try right-clicking on the file to
change its permissions remotely.

You should probably set The Duck to treat all files as binary, if you
can.

Not sure? It is not as if it always points to a chmod prob on the
particular servers I am concerned with. Here is a failure notice
that at top says there is an FTP error: Cannot change permissions
yet in the Toggle Transcript gives:

NOOP
200 Command okay.
PASV
227 Entering Passive Mode (210,209,98,113,39,53)
STOR /includes/includesTest.php
150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for includesTest.php.
226 Transfer complete.
NOOP
200 Command okay.
SITE chmod 666 /includes/includesTest.php
253 Attributes changed okay.

(Once again, file was updated fine though!)

About it not mattering: sure, I can start carrying this limp but
considering number of times I would have to be rid of the notice
in busy periods... naturally want to avoid it...

Well, I can get info on remote files, and press Apply to changes
(I just tried to change some permissions as a test) and I get
similar Failure notices come up! The toggle info though being:

NOOP
200 Command okay.
SITE chmod 644 /includes/includesTest.php
253 Attributes changed okay.

But the attributes in this case were not changed! The permissions
at least were not.

No one else is having problems, I assume, with the disconnect
from server command (either via button or menu item)? Reminder:
prior to latest update, list of files would be faded and clearly
one had to reconect to get back onto moving stuff around etc on
the server. But not now, it quits the server only when quitting
CD itself or at least seems to quit the server if I open up to
different server.

In case anyone has this problem and to follow up for any who
kindly replied to above and tried to help:

As for the first problem, this was fixed (on advice from author
of CB) by unticking my change permissions preference file. For
some unknown reason, the update either changed this preference or
else reacted differently to its ticked state in actual operation
(causing warning dialog boxes that previously had not come on).

As for the other set of problems to do with quitting servers,
these have just been fixed by a rather surprising event! As I was
typing this post, intending to say the above and that the
disconnect problem was still unfixed, I needed to recall what I
did re preferences so I started CB. An update notice appeared! I
said yes, it downloaded a similar length download to the other
day and relaunched and the disconnect problem was fixed judging
by a quick test!

I don't know if author has fixed or there was something in my
previous download that was not right?

Anyway, show seems back on the road.

He did. I remember there was a specific sentence on your issue in the
update "readme"

My only problem is once again the log drawer is gone :-( I don't know
why this feature keeps coming and going, but it's damn annoying. Still,
can't beat the price...
