From: Norbert Munkel on 26 Apr 2010 03:10 Hi, I need to run an old DB2 V8-Database on Power7. Our Oracle-Team told me they needed special patches to run their O 11 on Power7. Am I going to face such difficulties with DB2 V8? I know, migrating to 9.7 would be best but this is currently no option on this specific database. By the way: How about 9.5 on Power7? Google didnĀ“t help this time. ;-) cu, Norbert

DB2 version 8.1 and 8.2 are out of support. We will not provide any official patches, if you run into problems using DB2 8.x on Power7. It will either run or it won't. > By the way: How about 9.5 on Power7? Everything >= 9.1 is supported on Power7 at a specific FP level: 9.1 FP9 9.5 FP6 9.7 FP2 Hope this helps. -- Helmut K. C.
