From: dmax_99 on 12 Feb 2007 16:44 Has anyone else experienced and or been able to resolve the following PnP Driver test failure on DTM. This test only fails on Vista 64bit and used to pass until I installed the QFE updates. I have already tried creating a new submission, un-installing my client and then re-installing, no luck.. Any pointers appreciated. It appears the log file name is blank, or at least from the error messages it does. - Failed to determine pass/failure of the task "Run remove PnPTest". Failed to parse the log file "" of Type "none" for test Run/remove PnP test. error code 1025 ( unknown error (0x401)).
From: dmax_99 on 12 Feb 2007 20:09 An update on my issue in case it's of any help. during the PnP tests I made a copy of the Wtt\..Tasks folder so the contents wouldn't be deleted after the tests failed . I tried to manually run the pnpdtest.exe file found in my task folder and I'm getting an error saying the version of this executable isn't compatible with the version of Windows I'm running. So I went to my DTM Controller computer and coped the version of AMD64 pnpdtest.exe file over to my laptop and still got the same error. When I copied the X86 version of this file from my DTM controller the pnp test seems to run without the OS warning. From: Pavel A. on 13 Feb 2007 07:01 So the x86 version runs on your x64 machine? --PA "dmax_99" wrote: > An update on my issue in case it's of any help. > > > during the PnP tests I made a copy of the Wtt\..Tasks folder so the contents > wouldn't be deleted after the tests failed . From: dmax_99 on 13 Feb 2007 14:30 I didn't run the entire PnP test, but when running from the cmd line or explorer I don't get the "Wrong OS error" at least. I know this doesn't mean it runs properly on AMD64, just that there appears to be some mismatch between the DTM controller verision of AMD64 PnPdTest.exe and my version of Vista 64. This started with QFE10, which claims to fix some PnP tests.
