The announced Dislin book - is it just a printed manual, or is it
something written anew ?

It's very similar to the old Dislin manual, updated to version 10.0
with colour examples and an additional appendix
for a bibliography. You will nearly find the same information in the
online help of Dislin and in
the HTML documentation, but I've been asked several times for a
printed Dislin book, so that I have published it.
