From: Ken on 24 May 2010 16:25 Excel2003 ... Tools ... Add-Ins ... Automation ... I inadvertently selected one of these that I did not want ... Now how do I remove it from my List of Available Add-Ins ... Thanks ... Kha -- Kha
From: Gord Dibben on 24 May 2010 19:19 There may be an easier method but............. Start>Run regedit.exe Drill down to this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Add-in Manager On right side pane find the Automation add-in and delete it. From: Ken on 27 May 2010 16:59 Gord ... (Hi) I am still stuck ... Your method requires "Admin" rights ... :( Ok ... I did find the file, but not sure I should delete it where I found it (that's even if I can?) ... C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\MSCAL.OCX ... (It is "Calendar.11") I was browsing different "Add-ins" found under the Add-in's "Automation" Button ... I selected one & it populated my "Add-ins" Menu & gave me a check box. Now I want to kill it from my list of "Available" Add-in's & I do not know how to do it. Thanks for supporting these boards & offering the many solutions ... Much is learned here ... From: Gord Dibben on 27 May 2010 20:18 Other than the Registry method I don't know. MSCAL.OCX is not an add-in. It is the Calendar control file. It is not listed in Add-ins>Automation AFAIK Sounds like you added a Calendar Control to your workbook. If you want to send the workbook to my email feel free.
