Some time ago I tried to swap out a hard drive that had a XP install
from a dell 1405 into this dell 1564. It booted up to a point and
stopped. Does anyone know exactly why and how to make it work? When it
stopped, I think it stopped prior to the OS. Is there a bios setting
that needs changing?

Further, is there anything special I need to know if I install a new OS
(win 7 x64 likely) on a newly formatted drive in this dell 1564?
