From: JimLad on 17 Mar 2010 05:03 Hi, The current What's New for 2008 R2 includes all the 2008 stuff. If I am running 2008 and my customer is running 2008R2, do I need to worry about deprecated features or breaking changes? Do I need to run Upgrade Advisor again? Have there been any changes to the database engine? I am aware that the database version number has changed so you won't be able to restore 2008r2 databases back on 2008. But will all 2008 databases run on r2 in normal r2 mode or will they need to be in 2008 compatibility mode? Can anyone point me in the direction of an article on the differences between 2008 and 2008r2? Cheers, James
