From: Amos Sobel on 1 Nov 2009 23:28 Dear Friends I am trying to restore directory services from backup on a clean instalation of SBS2008 which works well with the correct domain and administrator . I did boot the server in safe mode and then chose directory services restore mode. Trying to login as administrator I get "There are currently no logon servers available to service the login request". Now I can only re-boot. What's wrong here? How do I login to directory services restore mode. Your help is very welcome Amos Sobel
From: "Robbin Meng [MSFT]" on 2 Nov 2009 03:16 Hello Amos, Thanks for your post. Have you tried reset the domain administrator password and log on again? Try to disable all firewalls installed on the server if there are any. Moreover, please check if the following KB articles helps: Error message when you try to log on to a Windows Server 2008-based RODC: "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request" http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949048/en-us How to force Kerberos to use TCP instead of UDP in Windows http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244474/en-us Hope this helps.
