From: lmg on 14 Apr 2010 10:17 We have a customer who is running out of free disk space on the 'C' drive of their SBS2003 server. Are you able to suggest areas of the 'C' drive which could be prone to using large amounts of disk space i.e. IIS logs etc. and which can be deleted/trimmed accordingly. Naturally, I do not wish to delete anything which is key to SBS2003 running smoothly. Could the response to the above question also apply to SBS2008? I look forward to hearing from you. Regards

From: Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP] on 14 Apr 2010 10:44 Download and run windirstat or treesize pro free to find out what is eating your space. How large is the system partition, or maybe I should ask 'how small'. I have a long list of stuff that can/should be moved off the system partition, search for this or post back and I will post it again. - Larry Please post the resolution to your issue so others may benefit - Get Your SBS Health Check at www.sbsbpa.com > We have a customer who is running out of free disk space on the 'C' > drive of their SBS2003 server. > > Are you able to suggest areas of the 'C' drive which could be prone to > using large amounts of disk space i.e. IIS logs etc. and which can be > deleted/trimmed accordingly. > > Naturally, I do not wish to delete anything which is key to SBS2003 > running smoothly. > > Could the response to the above question also apply to SBS2008? > > I look forward to hearing from you. > > Regards >
From: Ssupertech on 15 Apr 2010 02:46 WinDirStat is a great free tool for seeing where your space is going. I use it on all my servers. Just google it.
