I tried to set up a growth model for central ellipses from (a,b) to
(A,B) based on expression D given here, in infinitesmal
increments.It is observed that separation distance is monotonic
between vertices, displays no minimum distance in between. Minimum at
end of minor axis. Also it is not much affected by D also.

(b^2 – a^2 )/( a^2 – D^2) = K = constant is a new relation obtained,
did not yield a fresh insight,but shall post it if someone is
interested.
