From: Mofakharul on 24 Jun 2010 22:53 Hi, I am a new bee here started working on matlab recently. I am a bit confused whether I need a separate version of matlab for installing on linux machine or I can install my current version of matlab (Windows) on linux by somehow. If it is, then how I can do that? Is there anybody who can tell me what to do?

If it is, then how I can do that? Let me reverse the question: do you know a same piece of software that can work on both Linux AND Windows? Bruno

Yes, there is a famous multi-language "hello world" program that is simultaneously C, Fortran, bourne shell, and MS-DOS .COM file.

That doesn't meant the exact same .exe will run, but there should be an installer for Linux that he has access to by virtue of buying a copy of MATLAB for Windows. If not, does anybody know how well MATLAB works in Linux under Wine? |
