From: scotteh on 15 Apr 2010 13:41 Just an FYI. I don't know where else to post this, but hopefully it helps someone here. A microsoft update was automatically installed on most of our computers overnight or this morning. After that we were unable to save to a network shared drive (mapped drive) in any Office 2007 program. It turned out that we were only unable to save to our file server which is still running NT4. I was able to save to a Win 2k3 server ok. I was also able to save to the NT4 shares with every other program I tried. After removing Security Update for Windows XP KB980232 everything worked fine again. Hope that helps someone! Scott

From: PharrisWorth on 15 Apr 2010 15:47 You will need to go to uninstall programs in control panel, on each system. Select show Updates, then Sort by Date last used, Should be near the bottom. Just click on remove. Pat --- frmsrcurl: http://msgroups.net/microsoft.public.office.misc/-Document-Not-Saved-error-today-Cause-and-Solution
From: Graham Garnett on 16 Apr 2010 06:49 Additional information - on our system, we could still save to the default (c$) share on the NT4 server, but not to any shares we had created ourselves. Removing the MS update allowed saving to these shares as well. --- frmsrcurl: http://msgroups.net/microsoft.public.office.misc/-Document-Not-Saved-error-today-Cause-and-Solution
From: Steve M Steve on 16 Apr 2010 08:40 We've seen the same issue. I hope we can get some more information & patch this vulnerability. To remove, you can also script running "c:\windows\$NtUninstallKB980232$\spuninst\spuninst.exe /quiet /norestart". Too bad we can't uninstall it via WSUS.
