Hello kj [SBS MVP],

Isn't that only for the trial versions with rearming the servers?

Best regards

Never failed for me on any version (VL,MSDN,MAPS,etc) and run them all the
time in my VM labs. After the maximum though they have to be torn down or
activated of course. Mine are just "dev" machines and never for prod staying
within the PUR/EULA and 'letter of the law'.

Had one VL client with a handfull of server I built for them - they had
issues with their LAR and missed several 30day and rearm periods before they
could get their VL and get activated. Wasn't because they weren't trying.

Fuzzy now, but I think the 'trial' key does need to be entered before the
end of the first 30 days. ... I'll have to go and check my notes on
that....

This is basically what I need to know. I know how many PCs and servers
"total" we have but I don't know how many of them must initially
connect during the initial 30 days. I don't have any issue with the
keys because we have enough server keys and licenses, I'm more
concerned about what happens with servers/PCs accessing the new AD/DNS/
DC/TS server, we are on 2003 now and the new one will be 2008 R2...

Any additional information is welcomed, thank you.

Thank you, Tom
