Saved my registry using ERUNT, modified it as suggested by Doug, found and copied the folders as suggested by Graham and chnaged the locations defined in Word Options then installed only Word 2002 into a separate folder. Opened an old Word 2002 doc in it and it seems to be fine. One strange thing: when I view the document page in 2002 in Print layout, I see half a square in each page corner. It obviously marks the margins and is not a problem but they were not there in my previous installation of Word 2002. What are they? Thanks for all the help. Jeff
