Draw a tangent on a image

From: Ish Khan on 7 Jul 2010 02:09 Hi. i am new to matlab, and what i am trying to do is to draw a tangent on a image and carry on some calculation from there onwards, here is the image http://www.scielo.br/img/revistas/aob/v15n2/en_a01fig03.jpg . the pic is only example, in my image, i need to draw the tangent from the forefoot to the heel and than devide the line by half first, and calculate the length of that foot section. secondly i need to calculate the length of the heel section that directly touches the tangent. i know i have to do something with the matrix of the image, but being very new to matlab finding it very difficult. any help is appreciated:)
