From: Fanman on 22 Apr 2010 09:06 I recently purchased a new Palm Pre + smart phone and am trying to get my email account set up for the phone. Originally, I would receive a few of my incoming emails. Their tech support had me change my outlook e-mail settings to "Leave a copy of messages on the server". I'm now receiving my e-mails on my phone, but also receiving duplicate e-mails on my desktop. How can I eliminate this duplication.
From: neo on 22 Apr 2010 09:18 In Microsoft Outlook, do you have two or more account definitions checking the same mailbox? From: neo on 25 Apr 2010 12:12 That is why you get the duplication. So this begs the question of why do you have two account definitions in Outlook checking the same mailbox? On second thought... You could ask your ISP if they support IMAP or... Have you considered getting a free e-mail account somewhere (e.g. G-Mail) and have it pull e-mail in from ISP. At this point, connect Outlook to G-Mail via the IMAP protocol. Have your Palm Pre connect to G-Mail using IMAP. If you haven't guessed my rationale, I don't like POP3's Leave Messages on Server feature.
