From: Joe King on 5 Nov 2009 13:24 just curious: why is the error generated at 4 hour intervals? what event is scheduled? - and - is there consensus on resolution?
From: Ed Crowley [MVP] on 5 Nov 2009 13:23 Please always post the complete event log entry. You can use the handy-dandy copy-to-clipboard button in the event detail window to help with that. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." .. The expected checksum was 216873161239476751 (0x03027cfdb8feba0f) and the actual checksum was 1277092190161917 (0x0004898232570bfd). The read operation will fail with error -1018 (0xfffffc06). If this condition persists then please restore the database from a previous backup. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem. ===========================================================================

Could be the online defrag. You have the schedule, so have a look. >- and - >is there consensus on resolution? Yes. Restore the database from the last good backup you have. Or create a new database and move the mailboxes from the one with the torn page to the new one. Then remove the damaged database. Then find out if you have a hardware problem that's caused the checksum error (it;ll be a failed write operation). --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
