Hei Mike - Yes, they've gone very silent with this new version. - I just got aware of it wednesday night, so I haven't had the time yet to go through it. But from the 'new features' etc. there seems not to be that many differences - but more bugfixes and strengthening it up overall. I simply don't know whether this ver. 3.2.x will be the last one for the PowerPC technology, I don't hope so, cause there still are many, many PowerBooks G4s out there. - The "OOo 3.2.1rc1 20100506 MacOS x86 install en-US" is - as you can see - only Intel. - But when the ver. 3.2.0 PPC came out it also happened just 'out-of-the-blue' - noone knew anything until it suddenly were available. Here's the link to the final release OpenOffice 3.2.0PPC(US English) http://download.services.openoffice.org/files/stable/3.2.0/OOo_3.2.0_MacOSXPPC_install_en-US.dmg If you want other languages, here you can find all available versions for any system - including Intel and PPC versions available. - Here you fx. can see that there is both a US-EN ver. 3.2.0 for Intel and PPC, but only an Intel ver. for UK-EN etc.... http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#tested-full And here's the until now available downloads for OOo3.2.1rc1, and this seems not to include any PPC versions. http://download.openoffice.org/all_rc.html#untested-full But sure I hope that there will be further PPC versions maybe as high as up to ver. 4.0.:-) - I still have a PB G4/1,67ghz both with 10.4.x+classic and 10.5.x and still need the use of the classic envirement - else I'd bought a MBP instead... I have no MS application on that machine at all and never will have. I /had/ the MSO2004 and 2008, but it sure slowed down performance, since I only until now have 1gb of RAM on it, but hope soon to have it up to the max of 2gb. - but no more MS on that machine!
