From: Jason on 26 Apr 2010 20:56 I am trying to install a new software package. The installer fails with a 1720 error. I have successfully installed a few other products lately, so I suspect this is a bug in the installer with this particular product, so I have written to hahaSupport... Yet, googling for this error shows that it may be a Microsoft problem after all with a broken InstallShield installation. My XP Home Pro system has all the normal updates installed. Any idea where to look? Thanks!

I worked around it by unpacking the .cab that the installer is trying to work with and pointing the automatic installation that Windows offers at the folder with the unpacked .cab files.
