From: Jeffrey Carlson on 13 Sep 2005 18:36 Situation: Upgrading a Windows 2000 Domain Controller (SP4, Some Hotfixes). DC upgraded without much problem, but post upgrade in the SYS event log is an error as such: Event Type: Warning Event Source: Server Event Category: None Event ID: 2510 Date: 9/13/2005 Time: 2:49:12 PM User: N/A Computer: XYZDC Description: The server service was unable to map error code 998. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp. When researching, I could not find the 2510 main and 998 subcodes that represented any kind of a solution to this, or a fix, etc. Any suggestions? We know it's (likely) not hardware, so software / OS are key questions at this point. Everything else, as mentioned, is fairly clean. TIA
From: syockell on 19 Sep 2005 16:51 I had exactly the same error ! Are you using Symantec LiveState 3.0 ? If yes, if you stop the service you do not have this error. I'm downloading a new version 3.03. Hope this update will correct the problem Jeffrey Carlson wrote: > Situation: > > Upgrading a Windows 2000 Domain Controller (SP4, Some Hotfixes).
