From: Ch0rniyD00mer on 7 Mar 2006 08:20 Event Type: Error Event Source: Application Popup Event Category: None Event ID: 333 Date: 07.03.2006 Time: 11:13:07 User: N/A Computer: COMPUTERNAME Description: An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files that contain the system's image of the Registry. One of my servers (w2k3R2 + ARCServe + DTL backup device) have a lot of such messages and it becomes unusable (almost hang up) and I have to reboot it. After rebooting the serve becomes normal state for a while (several days). How can i run away this trouble? Maybe it is a hardware problem? From: Ch0rniyD00mer on 9 Mar 2006 07:56 I've seen that url before I've posted my question. But what is "M898060"? kb http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898060/en-us ? I'm not eventid.net subscriber. "The first thing you will need to do is to download the patch in M898060 and install it on all the servers that have tcpip.sys version 5.2.379.1830. After the patch is installed on the server and a reboot, the tcpip.sys version should 5.2.3790.2453". I didn't install the patch because my tcpip.sys version 5.2.3790.2617 (w2k3R2 + all fixes from windowsupdate) "Jabez Gan [MVP]" ?????: > http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=333&eventno=5757&source=Application%20Popup&phase=1 > > See if this helps. > > -- > Jabez Gan [MVP] > Microsoft MVP: Windows Server > http://www.blizhosting.com > MSBLOG: http://msblog.resdev.net > > > "Ch0rniyD00mer" <Ch0rniyD00mer(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:155EF3BC-E0E5-4751-A209-C9E5F9C54631(a)microsoft.com... > > Event Type: Error > > Event Source: Application Popup > > Event Category: None > > Event ID: 333 > > Date: 07.03.2006 > > Time: 11:13:07 > > User: N/A > > Computer: COMPUTERNAME > > Description: > > An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably. From: Jabez Gan [MVP] on 10 Mar 2006 06:24 Are you on a RAID? Since the registry is unable to write properly, I would say that the problem could be your hardware (hard disk or RAM or other hardware). I would say take your server for a hardware checkup. -- Jabez Gan [MVP] Microsoft MVP: Windows Server http://www.blizhosting.com MSBLOG: http://msblog.resdev.net "Ch0rniyD00mer" <Ch0rniyD00mer(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:155EF3BC-E0E5-4751-A209-C9E5F9C54631(a)microsoft.com... > Event Type: Error > Event Source: Application Popup > Event Category: None > Event ID: 333 > Date: 07.03.2006 > Time: 11:13:07 > User: N/A > Computer: COMPUTERNAME > Description: > An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably.
