Just upgraded to messenger live on WinXP SP2! Previous messenger worked
fine, new version gives the above error 800701f8 when signing in. Running at
work behind corporate firewall/proxy so specified both socks and web proxy
details in connection options, test of both these return successful but plain
vanilla tcp test fails with 81000388. Log shows

(and BTW it's "received", not "recieved"). Why does new messenger fail when
old one worked fine and web version works fine.
