Running R2007a on Windows 7 and keep getting Error Window on starting desktop. The window includes a series of referenced java unknown source files. I tried the suggested removal of a xml file on the blog, but could not locate the file. The applcation was working on the platform until about a month ago and has just started having issues opening. Noticed issues with possible desktop settings. Changed the desktop to original windows settings with default background, but it still did not help resolve issue. Any suggestions?

How about upgrading to the latest version and see if the problem goes away?

I have checked my Matlab preferences folder (by typing "prefdir" in my Matlab session), but there is no file called "MatlabDesktop.xml" in that folder. There is a PICS file called "matlab" and a text file called "MLintDefaultSettings".
