I get the following error when trying to install a program..

It is in a window titled irsetup

The message says

invalid start mode : archive offset

It just started happening after I installed my router.

You not finished install component of router , so maybe crash system.
Could you uninstall your router? after that try to install program..

Maybe tell us the name of the program...? Try installing it in Safe Mode?
Does Event Viewer show anything helpful?
