From: Learner on 11 Aug 2007 04:44 I'm trying to install windows xp update. First I get this message "We've made improvements to our website. To download the new version of the software and begin using Windows Update, please click Install Now". After downloading files I get this message: "Error number: 0x80070020". Any one can help me please.
From: sillyolpom on 12 Aug 2007 20:30 I was tearing my hair out with this , in the end - as usual- the answer was easy - I had turned off my virus scanner ( avg ) and spybot but I had overlooked spybots teatimer ! once I'd turnd that off the prooblem was solved ! :) ctrl+ alt + delete selsct processes..... scroll down to TeaTImer and disable .. then try the Update again ..\ Good luck :) "Learner" wrote: > I'm trying to install windows xp update. From: JoeAuerbach on 29 Aug 2007 17:43 I had the error persistently when trying to do MS Update on a machine that I hadn't used in a while, & went through a number of other places that didn't mention the Tea Timer. As soon as I did that, I was able to do the update. Thanx for the tip.
