Yes, I finally found it buries among a zillion other one-line
options..

In the earlier versions of Eudora, the Shift key had the property of
expanding your options for a given function. Thus if you held the
Shift key down and clicked on Check Mail, a popup dialog box would
appear with the option to do all sorts of things, like select the
specific personalities to do the check mail on, and options to do
things like leave the mail on the server etc.

Now these things are scattered all over the place, which makes it
difficult to customize a particular Check Mail activity.

Yes, I just discovered that a short while ago. That works for me.

I do not need to do that but it sounds cool.

Yes, I found that too, when I made a sweep of all the option
categories.

That's a good idea. I will try it. I remember something in the manual
about that but did not associate it with HTML links working or not.

I sure miss it.

Is Pandora going to be standalone or embedded in the browser?

If embedded I will be using Eudora for another 10 years.

Yes, as I found out.

Yes, that is what I meant and yes I did finally discover the From
drop-down.

Yes, it works as it did with 3.0.5.

Yes, I found that much when I went thru all the Options.

Good to know.

I will have to experiment with that.

Although I can live with it at the bottom I would prefer it showed up
only when sending and receiving mail like on the earlier versions..

I will play with it to see if I can figure out how to get it to work
the way I want.

I turned off the Status Bar.

Win2K/SP4 and Mozilla. I have IE 5.5 installed.

I do not have any other applications where they work.

I should clarify that they do work sometimes in Eudora 7.1. It's just
that they do not work all the time.

Have you tried that? I hate to have to uninstall and reinstall Eud
7.1.

I did not get any ZIP.

That's good to know.

I have pretty much driven it enough and have RTFM too, Now I am doing
the fine tuning.

POP3 servers. Port 110.

The old Netscape embedded email client had the same problem. In fact
that's where I discovered the trick of using a "%" sign, in the Netsol
config for Netscape.

I need to find the little pencil so I can edit sylized text. I would
use the "A" icon to clear all the style tags out.

Also where is the "blah, blah, blah" header expander.

I just discovered that the HTML links work in the original message but
don't work when I spawn a reply.

Is there a way around that?

I tried that but it didn't have any noticeable effect. I still have
the bars instead of ">".

Any suggestions?
