The target Domain Controller or the network or a client might be down. The winsock subsystem returned the error:[0x2746]. The circuit that received this error is being closed. or Event Type: Information Event Source: MSExchangeSA Event Category: NSPI Proxy Event ID: 9044 Date: 2/21/2006 Time: 1:01:35 AM User: N/A Computer: COMPUTER1 Description: NSPI Proxy received a close request on a circuit. The client or server has closed its connection with the NSPI Proxy. The circuit is being destroyed.

Any problems with your domain controllers? Particularly the GC servers? Check which DC/GC your Exchange is using and then look for event log entries on the DC/GC.
