I had MSOffice 2003 on my PC. I used this to update an Excel file and save as
htm. I then uploaded the changes to my BT Web Space via AceFTP.

I now have office 2007. When I update the same file I now get a msg stating:-

'file name.htm may contain features that are not compatible with Web Page.
Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?

To keep this format, which leaves out any incompatible features, click Yes.
To preserve the features, click No. Then save a copy in the latest format.

I click NO as I DO want it to be compatible with my web page. The original
file name is displayed. The Save as type: WebPage (*.htm;*.html)

Press save and get 'file name already exists, do you want to replace it.
Reply yes and get the same msg and options.

If I say YES and update the file it is then not accessible on my web page.

I have saved the original HTM files to an external hard drive and used a
laptop with Office 2003 and OS as Win XP home. Altered and saved file as
normal in HTM using MSOffice Excel 2003 no problems. Used AceFTP to upload as
usual all ok.

So there is a problem with saving the fie in Office 2007. I can't see any
other options to save the file that is compatible with my web page, htm.

I note HTML is now the 'current' file type but as said if I allow the
changes to HTML they are not displayed on my Web Site.
I am really now lost as what to do.

Can anyone assist please so I can keep the data 'as is' on the BT Web Server
and be able to update it being HTM or HTML and what I need to do/use?
For Info I use SharePoint to manage the web pages and AceFTP to upload the
changes/additional made.

Thanks
