From: sawyer on 9 Mar 2010 11:50 Hello I am running Exchange 2007 sp2, all users are running Outlook 2007 sp2, and we are using Autoaccept for all resource mailboxes, (we are not using direct booking) We are noticing that some users have "author permissions" on some of the resource mailbox calendars and they have the resource mailboxes calendar open in outlook, they will then create a meeting directly in the resource calendar instead of adding the resource as a room in a meeting request. When this happens the user that booked the meeting will not get a denied message from the resource mailbox when the there is a conflict. It appears the users are circumventing the autoaccept features of the resource mailbox, when they have permissions on the calendar and are directly booking meetings instead of adding the mailbox as a resource. Does this sound correct?
From: Ed Crowley [MVP] on 10 Mar 2010 19:54 Yes, that sounds correct. You can remove those users' full mailbox rights, but, really, this falls under the umbrella of my autosignature below. -- Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems." ..
